About Shock SportsShock Sports provides a structured, professional soccer training experience for athletes ages 9-19 in the greater Burlington area in Vermont. We focus on high-quality skill development and offer a clear pathway for player growth. Sessions are designed with a consistent curriculum and standards, supporting players as they progress through high-pressure gameplay scenarios tailored to their skill level. Our programs include position-specific training for field players and goalkeepers in every session, with programs dedicated to specific positions. We place players in groups based on ability, focusing our efforts on promoting development by creating an environment where every player impacts the game. This approach helps players become more confident and learn new strategies and skills to solve the game's most challenging situations. We are committed to building soccer players who want to make an impact on the game, be able to play multiple roles for their teams, and gain more flexibility and opportunities outside of Shock. Base Pass: All athletes participate in our Experience Gameplay Training program to improve their understanding of the game and integrate what they have learned into their personal style of play. Athletes are grouped based on ability, creating a competitive 3v3 and 5v5 gameplay environment where each player can make an impact. Group Training Pass: Our small group training programs are designed for athletes seeking additional training beyond their Experience Gameplay sessions. These programs include position-specific training, such as Technical Skill Development and Goalkeeper Training. Private Training: Our Advanced Skill Development sessions do not require an additional membership and are available on a drop-in basis to all active members with a Group Training Pass. These sessions offer private small-group training exclusively led by Kyle (owner + director). Sessions are designed to sync with our CORE curriculum, allowing athletes to focus on areas where they may need extra help. Most athletes attend regularly to stay on track, as this program works on an accelerated pace and covers advanced topics that can be challenging to grasp all at once! Training scheduleOur training schedule mirrors our 48-week soccer curriculum, designed to improve players ages 9-19. We offer year-round training programs primarily on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Our Website Calendar shows our projected schedule as far in advance as possible for families to plan ahead, we release our finalized training schedule every week via email, for athletes to RSVP their attendance. Start Anytime We operate on a monthly billing cycle, allowing you to set your own start date and continue as long as you want. You can pause and restart your training at any time. Daily Schedule We ask all athletes to arrive 15 minutes early for training sessions to connect with coaches and players, warm up, and be ready for the start of training. Training sessions are 1 hour per program, with the majority of our athletes training 2-3 hours per day across multiple programs. We offer 1-2 additional programs each week for athletes looking for more training opportunities. Attendance Policy We ask that all members RSVP their attendance by Thursday of each week so that we can create our rosters and prepare for our sessions in advance. Most athletes attend regularly to stay on track with our progressive training model, which builds upon itself throughout the year, providing continuous development. We do not require attendance and support athletes who play on multiple teams or other sports, finding flexible ways to stay involved.

Consultations - supporting athletes off the fieldOur consultations provide off-the-field support to help athletes understand how Shock can accelerate their development path. These 15-minute calls with our staff are designed to: Identify the right program for you Discuss your player development pathway Prepare for upcoming tryouts, tournaments or other events Provide guidance during the college recruiting process Structured as open discussions, consultations allow clients to guide the conversation toward their specific goals. Membership & pricingFirst Day is FREE Athletes are invited to experience Shock training for the first time at no cost! Join us to meet our staff and players, participate in our programs, and discover all that Shock has to offer. To schedule your free first day, contact: admin@shocksportsvt.com Monthly Membership Cycles We offer flexible monthly memberships with auto-renewal for easy access to our programs. You can remain an active member as long as you choose and pause or restart your membership at any time. Base Pass - $100 / month All athletes begin with our base pass, which grants access to the Experience Gameplay Training Program. This program meets an average of 4 times per month, typically on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. Add-ons Athletes can enhance their training with additional plans for position-specific sessions for field players and goalkeepers, as well as private small group training. First Month Discount - $50 We offer a $50 discount on the first month for new clients who sign up during select times of the year. Family Discount Families with more than one athlete joining Shock receive our family discounted price. Purchase one base pass per player and receive add-ons at 50% off.

No Teams - Athlete First DevelopmentWe are not a team, but an independent company founded locally in the greater Burlington area, Vermont, in 2020. We ask our athletes to wear a Shock training shirt and avoid wearing apparel representing local organizations. This creates a neutral, supportive, and unbiased training environment. As we are not part of a larger team or organization, our focus is entirely on the individual athlete. Our Athlete-First philosophy drives us to center coaching on making athletes more effective, rather than fitting them into a specific system or team style of play. We train with a focus on future potential, prioritizing long term development over short-term roles on a team.

Updating payment methodsUpdating Payment Methods You can update the payment method on your active recurring subscriptions to avoid their subscription being canceled. This is useful when you know the existing payment method is due to expire soon. If the payment fails, you need to create a new subscription using a valid payment method. How to update your payment method: You can update the payment method on an active recurring subscription by logging into the site and going to the My Subscriptions section of the Members Area. You can then select the relevant subscription to expand it. The current payment method appears under the subscription details in the “My Subscriptions” section. Important: Update payment method is only available for active, online recurring subscriptions. Currently you can only update your payment method on desktop. You can only update your payment method to a credit card - currently you cannot update the payment method to Paypal. You need to update the payment method on all subscriptions separately (changes to one subscription do not affect all subscriptions). Update payment method is not yet available to everyone, however, you can update your payment method through PayPal or Stripe where relevant.
